It's Your Con!

Con Nooga is ran by fans for fans!    In 2007 our team felt there needed to be an event that had all aspects of Pop Culture, Gaming, Vendors, Entertainment and more for a new generation to explore, learn, come together and enjoy.   Con Nooga officially launched February of 2008.   We strive to entertain, educate, debate, enjoy 3 + days of Fandom Fun from kids, families, to adults and everyone in between!  There's something for everyone...

"It's not just a Convention - It's a family reunion with people I actually want to see every year!"

Current leadership for 2025-2026

Chris has been with ConNooga since 2012. His first year was as an entertainer in the first drag show, but then returned the following year to volunteer with registration. He was the registration director, before passing that torch on to focus on running content and starting the pride track in 2020.  Currently, he hosts and organizes the drag show, and helps with programming in the pride, video games, anime, and Disney tracks. As well as hosts multiple events throughout the weekend including the Charity Auction.   When he isn’t working his day job, he  enjoys video games, going to concerts, or just relaxing in front of the tv.

Kasey

Kasey has been with Con Nooga since 2008 when she was only 10 years old. Her very first job at Con Nooga was helping people in the elevator by pressing their floor button at Hotel 3 at The Choo Choo. Now she assists with running the whole convention. Her very first job at Con Nooga was helping people in the elevator by pressing their floor button at Hotel 3 at The Choo Choo. Now she assists with running the whole convention. Con Nooga and Kasey have both grown together.  Besides Con Nooga, Kasey has a 9-5 job  as a technician. She also works at Dread Hollow as one of the actors and is also Fear Connection’s Treasurer.  Kasey is a very busy bee! She enjoys all three jobs and still finds time to be on a pool league with her significant other and to be around her friends to make as many memories as possible!

Holly has been part of Con Nooga since its debut in 2008—volunteering before some attendees were even born. She’s tackled Programming, tamed the wild beast that is Ops, and serves on the Board of Directors, making sure things run as smoothly as a goose in a tuxedo on roller skates (spoiler: it’s chaos, but it’s funny). She keeps coming back every year, which is either a sign of undying dedication or the kind of mild insanity that only comes from extinguishing a dumpster fire while juggling goslings and singing The Hero of Canton. If you spot her moving as quickly as a Hobbit with busted knees can go, just know: it’s probably fine. Probably.

Cordelia has been with Con Nooga since 2013 and has been completely assimilated into the hive mind. Moving from a volunteer to track coordinator to board member Cordelia has seen it all in the time they've spent working with the Con Nooga team. Currently Cordelia works in programming and social media for Con Nooga. Cordelia's passions are in Cosplay and LARP, owning their own horror LARP in North GA. They can be found most nights playing video games like DbD, reading the works of Stephen King, watching a Mike Flannagan show, or singing 80's rock at karaoke. If you're into awkward brain rot anti-joke humor or FNAF swing by and say hi.

Laura has been working with ConNooga since 2022 and started as a pride track volunteer. She is an Augusta native who travels to Chattanooga to help with a convention that has become very important to her. She has been a coordinator for the Pride and Video Games tracks as well has helped out with the Anime track. As a marketing director by trade, logistical planning is her happy place so planning for con is one of her favorite things to do in her downtime.   You may also know Laura as Bella Donna St Martin, a drag performer in Augusta who performs and helps host the drag shows on Friday and Saturday night at con! Costuming has been her passion and she has been cosplaying/going to conventions for over 15 years. She usually attends a couple with her husband and 5 year old son throughout the year aside from ConNooga. Laura is looking forward to ConNooga 2026 and cannot wait to see everyone

Kevin attended his first Con Nooga in 2013 and enjoyed it so much that he joined the volunteer team the very next year as one of the convention photographers. Over time, he took the lead of Con Nooga’s Photo/Video team and now serves on the Board of Directors. In addition to taking photos at the convention, Kevin works his magic behind the scenes, solving inevitable IT issues and tackling whatever weird problems arise. Outside of Con Nooga, Kevin is a Network/System Administrator for an automotive OEM. He lives in Michigan, land of terrible roads and lots of snow. His hobbies include cars, cameras, computers, and a whole pile of other random stuff.

Scout

Scout

Scout has been attending Con Nooga since 2017—and is definitely not three ADHD-rattled rats in a trench coat. Starting as a volunteer, they hurled themself into the vast darkness that is the Nooga Night Shift and never looked back. At this point, nothing surprises them—they’ve seen things. Unspeakable things.  These days, Scout works with programming, serves as the head coordinator of coordinators, and still reigns over the chaos of the Nooga Night Shift. When not consumed by the shadows, you can find them gaming, marathoning Studio Ghibli films, crafting meticulously organized sparkly binders and gorgeous spreadsheets… or just dead asleep.

Con Nooga - It's Your con! Policies aka rules

AKA: How We All Have the Best Time Possible

Welcome to Con Nooga, where fandoms collide, creativity runs wild, and good vibes reign supreme. To keep this celebration fun, safe, and legendary for everyone, we ask all attendees, vendors, guests, and heroes in cosplay to follow these simple rules.

Think of them less as “rules” and more as the secret recipe to an awesome con.

1. Be Cool. Be Kind. Be Respectful.

Con Nooga is for everyone. Harassment, discrimination, intimidation, or aggressive behavior of any kind will not be tolerated. This includes verbal, physical, or digital behavior.

If someone says “no” or “stop,” that’s the end of the conversation. Full stop.

2. Weapons & Props Must Behave Themselves.

We love epic props, but safety is the real final boss.

  • Unlike so many other conventions we understand how realistic props help put that extra umph on your cosplay. Therefore we do allow realistic props, blades etc. HOWEVER - This means for Photos only.  If we see you brandishing a weapon in a harmful, threatening or any other manner tbh - you will only get one warning.

  • CO2, Water guns, projectile weapons, steel weapons, unless they have been disabled or have been inspected by our operations and security team.  We will only peace bond or confiscate a weapon that has been used in a threatening manner.

  • No swinging, brandishing, or dramatic slow-motion fight scenes in crowded areas.   Don't be stupid and we won't have to peace bond or confiscate your props!
When in doubt, ask staff before bringing it in.

3. Cosplay is NOT Consent

At Con Nooga, every attendee has the right to enjoy the convention free from harassment or unwanted attention, regardless of costume, body type, gender expression, or character portrayed.

What This Means

  • Do not touch another attendee or their costume without clear, enthusiastic permission.

  • Do not assume posing, flirting, physical contact, or suggestive behavior is welcome.

  • Do not photograph or record cosplayers without asking first.

  • “They’re dressed like the character” is never an excuse.

Consent Rules

  • Consent must be explicit and ongoing.

  • Silence, hesitation, or discomfort means no.

  • Consent can be withdrawn at any time and must be respected immediately.

Prohibited Behavior

  • Groping, grabbing, or brushing against someone “by accident”

  • Sexual comments, gestures, or sounds directed at attendees

  • Following, cornering, or pressuring someone for photos or interaction

  • Harassment in person, online, or via messaging during the convention

Enforcement

  • Violations will result in immediate action by staff or security.

  • Consequences may include removal from the event without refund and bans from future Con Nooga events.

  • Law enforcement may be contacted when appropriate.

Need Help?

If you feel unsafe or witness a violation:

  • Contact any Con Nooga staff member or volunteer

  • Go to the Registration Desk, Operations or Security

  • Your report will be taken seriously and handled discreetly

4. Zero Tolerance for Dangerous Behavior.

The following will result in immediate removal and possible bans from future events:

  • Violence or threats of violence

  • Theft or vandalism

  • Harassment or stalking

  • Ignoring staff instructions

  • Any behavior that puts others at risk.

Con Nooga staff are the friendly NPCs with authority. Please listen to them.

5. No Running. No Climbing. No Shenanigans.

This isn’t an anime opening sequence.

  • No running through the con

  • No climbing structures, booths, or stages

  • Keep aisles clear and exits accessible
Safety beats style points every time.

6. Photography With Respect.

Photos are awesome. Creepy behavior is not.

  • Ask permission before taking photos

  • No flash photography where prohibited

  • Respect “no photo” requests instantly

7. Respect the Space.

Help us keep Con Nooga looking fresh:

  • Dispose of trash properly

  • Treat vendors’ booths and displays with care

  • Leave the venue better than you found it

 8. Staff Decisions Are Final.

If staff or security gives you a direction, it’s not a debate side quest. They are there to keep everyone safe and having fun.

Failure to comply may result in removal without refund.

9. Party Smart

Alcohol is for those of legal age and must follow all city and venue rules.

  • No public intoxication
  • No illegal substance
  • If you are too far gone, staff may ask you to take a breather by exiting the event.  Hydrate like a champion.

Laugh loudly. Geek out freely. Make new friends. Celebrate what you love.

If you see something that feels unsafe or uncomfortable, report it to staff immediately. We’ve got your back.
